  5. Wanted to drop a comment and let you know your Rss feed is not working today. I tried including it to my Google reader account but got nothing.

  6. Unfortunately it is not required by the state for Security Officers to have any training to carry a firearm or the other weapons Security Officers may carry. However it is being seen by more and more, companies are taking it among their selves to require training among its employees. Without training, in my opinion, any person can really be a Security Officer, and in some ways, its impossible to weed out the irresponsible persons. I work for a more “aggressive” company and pride ourselves in being extremely proactive in finding drugs, weapons and other things, were recognized by local law enforcement and receive a lot of support from them. However, we tend to hire less than responsible persons whos only goal in life is to draw a weapon on someone and slap the cuffs on…I believe we should all have some Basic level of training and understanding how things work.

  7. I have a valid and current PERC Card that was issused in my home state which is Illinois. i’m relocating to the state of Michigan. What courses do I have to take to be qualified to work in the security field?

  8. Terry I totally agree with you. I have one thing to ask you. What company do you work for? The reason I ask is because my wife is getting out military and we are relocating back to Michigan and I’m looking for a job on security until something opens for the Oakland County Sheriffs.
