  1. I am wanting to start my own armed security business. I have worked for a company in Des Moines that was an unarmed security company. I know I need a surety bond and insurance. I have had many hours of training from a NRA instructor in various forms. All which I have a certificates for. My question is this enough to submit to Iowa department of public safety? Of course I will have my uniform design and badge at the time. I know there is a background check, which I have had multiple fingerprints submitted for various weapons permits. Which I hold a permit for iowa, I’ve taken a Utah course and have recently submitted my Arizona fingerprints also. Just wanted to make sure I’m doing everything that needs to be done. thank you for your time.

I live in the state of Iowa and was wondering if you could
Send me some websites or links with the proper channels to obtain the proper licensing.
I am a US veteran and was wondering if that would save me any time or providee with any training that would be recognized towards my licensing.
